PART TIME & SEASONAL
CARROLL MEATS TULLAMORE
My first ever job was at Carroll Cuisine where I was employed as a General Operative. I worked there for the summer after my first year of college, and it was a great start for me, as I gained my first ever experience in taking orders and working as a team in a work place.
SMYTHS TOYS ATHLONE
For the Christmas of 2017, I worked for two months as a retail assistant. This was my first time to ever work somewhere where I spoke to customers on a daily basis, and was completely different to my first job. It was also my first taste in balancing college and a part time job at the same time, and overall it was a very enjoyable experience.
DPD IRELAND MAIN SORTATION HUB
I originally started out in DPD Ireland in the summer of 2018. It was primarily another summer job, however the employer informed me that not only could I go part time when I returned to college, but I could do my work placement in the QA department for college, when that time came. This was probably one of the best opportunities I've had to date. I worked in the sorting hub where all the parcels are moved around for that summer, and then done it part time next to college for the first semester of my third year. In my second semester, and the summer that followed, I worked as a QA engineer for my work placement. I am currently back in the sort hub part time as I am back in college for my final year.
